Thanks for joining us! If you have never had a chance to visit St. Walter Kindergarten .. C'Mon down!
Kindergarten at St. Walter School is always a busy place. While we grow academically and spiritually, we learn about the world around us.
We try to take class trips at least once a month to experience the larger community around us. These include: the Police and Fire Station, McDonald’s, a working farm, a park where we see how maple syrup is made, a theater production, a local bank, the Indiana Dunes and we even travel on the PACE bus to the library.
In our classroom, we recognize that all students are special and different. We celebrate our differences and learn from each other. We celebrate each student's birthday for a whole week!
We celebrate ALL holidays including the 100th day of school, Jesus' birthday, President's Day, Chinese New Year, Cinco de Mayo and important community figures, along with Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Easter etc. We also celebrate the liturgical holidays which include the Advent and Lenten seasons.
Our Class guinea pig, Oreo can fill you in on what’s going on in Kindergarten. He is well taken care of by the students themselves.
Our class saint is St. Francis who reminds us to treat all God’s creatures with care and kindness .He’s standing right in front of our school! Join us for our pet blessing in October.
Everyday is an exciting day in Kindergarten!
